An abandoned game should give the maximum possible point gain/loss for the mode. If there's a possibility that abandoning will lead to a lesser penalty than just losing the best outcome in some cases becomes abandoning the game rather than continuining to the end. In all this talk about a 2 week timeout for games (which I think is fine) it also seems to be suggested that a game in which at least one player takes no turn will disappear and not count as a win or loss for either player. The keys for Frozen Synapse are platform independant. They give you access to the central server which everyone goes through regardless of platform. I can't say for sure but as far as I know every version of the game comes with two keys at the moment. If you buy it on Gamersgate you won't be able to...

It's a glitch, repeated use will get you banned. It's to be fixed in the first patch I think. You should only be able to spawn at the edge of the map.

A mac user can play a pc user can play a linux wine user. All games go through Mode7's central server(s) regardless of platform so it doesn't matter what platform each person is on. A box that is collected is lost if the unit holding it dies. They won't count towards the final scoring for everyone. In your case you escaped with 2, the enemy escaped with 1 and two boxes were lost when two of your units holding them died, meaning a 2-1 victory to you. A player only automatically ...

Only the keys direct from Mode7 activate on Steam. Keys from Gamersgate and other sellers won't activate.

At the moment nothing is decided. Some brief info is in this blog post but it's still early days for the current server situation and what might change. One global server like the beta would be ideal but nothing is final yet.
