I actually HAD figured out a way for the AI to survive the first turn (placing two machinegunners on the bottom door would make me lose the shotgunner that went that way), but the AI apparently didn't figure that out. The AI's not the brightest of opponents - my guess is it uses a Monte Carlo metho...
Was doing some offline skirmishes against the AI with different settings to get back into the game. The setup on my last one was my 4 shotgunners versus the AI's 6 machine gunners on the smallest map, situation spawn. After about half an hour on the first turn refining my strategy... Visibility turn...

it's a known issue over at the steam forums. Apparently, they changed it over to having it downloaded alongside the game as opposed to appearing under "tools" in response to people being unable to find it... and people still can't find it. The green zones are your insertion zones. You have to get the hostage to the yellow escape zone to win. Can't be sure from the vid but it must have been either at the top or the left of the map in this case. I believe the escape zone and an insertion zone can share a space, in which case the colour...
I Believe I found the game you're referring to - ID 26105. 17 units for Player 1 (r@ggamuffin). Next time that situation comes up (fast way to check is to see if any units do not have a number), just drop out without submitting any turns, note the ID of the game, and hide it from your list. I assume...
