Correct.
MisterG694 wrote:What happens if he never makes a move?
After two weeks the game should time out and award you a win by forfeit.

Re: make a ".deb" package

The osmos .deb (at the time I installed it) violated two rules of .deb creation: It had wrong file permissions, and contained platform-dependent binaries, although tagged as a arch-independent package. For example, the Ubuntu Software Center would not complain if a ARM user installs Osmos per .deb,...

Re: Mode7 you need to start supporting the game further.

The whole point of a random matchmaking system is the random part, why provide a way around it? As Ornithopter said, there's currently no other way of refusing a challenge and there are way too many ways to get challenged (either randomly or directly) to games you just don't want to play, regardles...

Re: Mode7 you need to start supporting the game further.

I personally prefer random matchmaking against players of varying skills than "catered" matchmaking. I'm not saying that I'm correct, or that's the final say on the matter, just that there are other opinions out there on that issue, but thanks for raising it. I tend to agree, but there's already th...

Re: Ask A Question, Recieve An Answer (help us out pro playe

Short answer: It's random. Long answer: The map has invisible squares on it (like a chessboard, but smaller and more of them). The squares each have a different value to them and the unit on the higher-valued square wins. Did you make that up, heard it from someone else or found evidence ? What omr...

Re: Stand-alone version with Steam purchase?

The Steam and standalone versions are actually identical. You can install the Steam version, then go into the Steam\steamapps\common\frozen synapse directory and execute FrozenSynapse.exe directly without needing Steam running. (Note that this will not work with the desktop icon or start menu entry ...

Re: Wishlist thread

How is it currently managed if the enemy abandones the game after the first turn has been played? Because I have many games where my opponents are losing and thus abandoned the game. What will happen? According to talk on the forum, the plan is that the non-abandoning player should win by forfeit a...

Re: no choice in accepting a direct challenge

It has come up once or twice, yes... The official response, found near the end of the "news" box on the game's "home" screen is: You "accept" a game by taking your first turn in it. If you have an unwanted game just do not take your first turn, and no-one will mind. As with the open challenge messag...

Re: Wishlist thread

[Balance]: Make those who quit and don't make a turn for several days automatically lose. No victory score for their opponents though, to prevent cheating. a) I don't see any potential for "cheating" in making it a win by default if the opponent forfeits. b) That sounds like it would bring on a lot...

You can also zoom out (mousewheel or k/m to zoom) to be able to see the whole map at once despite the controls at the bottom.

Re: Wishlist thread

After certain turns you or your opponent may realize that there's just no way out of the next turn for you to make a good comeback. The problem is that your opponent might then just never finish his/her turn, leaving you without your desired victory. This hasn't become a problem just yet as I'm mor...

Re: So can someone explain how the servers work? I'm confuse

I don't know any official answers, but here's what I observed a few days ago when I moved from TEXAS4 to UK1: What gets carried over and what doesn't? Your win/loss counts will follow you immediately. Your total points will follow you, but may take a few hours to a day to transfer over. Your list of...

Re: "Essential" features

This has likely been mentioned before, but I think it's quite strange that there is no indicator that lets you know when your opponent has locked-in their move. I'm assuming that since this is such an obvious omission, there must be some sort of reasoning behind it. Are we afraid that people would ...

Re: Wishlist thread

The current system encourages turtling a lot, throwing more active players into a disadvantage. I believe standing/ducking has a worse penalty than horizontal movement, which sounds about right - it takes longer to complete a change in posture than to complete a step or freeze mid-step. Nonetheless...

Re: Unable to set email-notifications off

This just plain doesn't seem to work at the moment. I've experienced (and reported) the same problem and have seen at least one other person in the forums saying the same.
