Frozen Synapse Prime, Steam discount

I bought Frozen Synapse, but not through Steam.
How do I get the discount via Steam...?
Presumably I need to install FS via Steam first???

and on installing, the discount thingumy was in my Steam inventory.

Okay, that was all actually quite painless.

Although it also shows that the current Steam version has the same vexed skirmish/grenade/shield unit bug.

I didn't buy it from Steam, but the link in my earlier post shows how to use the licence key to install it in Steam. When I installed it, a discount code for FS Prime appeared in my Steam inventory.
