Haha, you wish. It's only in your world view, cause it matches your opinion of me. But facts don't change. Again you make a very poor argument, trying to reduce me and my points, thinking other will buy it. It shows that you're only arguing for the sake of arguing.
I said go fuck yourself because you keep pissing me off and crossing my world view. Go fuck yourself again, troll.

You're the one that chose to reply to a post suggesting changes to the game, with a whiney response about how it's a waste of time making suggestions, 'cos the devs don't listen.

Despite the fact they've said they are listening.

bouahahahah so now God speaks through Mode 7 ? it puzzles me that you decided to be their valiant knight. You don't even know them or their work.
Obama said he'll do this, Sarkozy said he'll do that. The fools believe the words, the wises trust only the actions.
It's only after many many request/suggest/complains over several months that they bothered to introduce Elo, the timeout and the balancing (yet to be seen). I can make a long list of critical and trivial bugs and enhancements that have been ignored. And I've already said what they've been doing since release. So you think a miracle is gonna happen in the next weeks ? FS could become perfect in January, it won't bring back 60000 players.
Paul on the Hotline thread wrote: It is for the community to alert Mode 7 (the devs) to any issues which are hurting the game on a regular basis, or things that need addressing quickly.
I just wanted to have a more structured thread that I can come to very regularly in order to keep the discussion going on high priority matters. This doesn't mean we'll stop reading Bugs and Wishlist (far from it - we'll look at those each time we update) but again, this is an EMERGENCY hotline that you can use to ping us and rouse us from the depths of the development cave.
That thread (started over 2 months ago) is 6 pages long (making it one of the longest). What from what was pointed out in that thread has been addressed ? Somebody name a few things ?
And where I live, putting something on a todo list for in 6 months isn't a hotline, nor listening.

Who thinks Mode 7 should improve the game ? and promote community's efforts ?
Everyone, cause it's the right thing to do, EVERYONE, including you. We all want the same thing, so you're the idiot here for splitting the community with debates and on aspects that you don't master.

I believe they did, but that's all, just listening.
They gave us only hope. They knew they had no time to improve the PC/linux version, because they had to focus on selling (steam, Humble Bundle, now IPAD). They keep going to focus on selling.
The new programmer is employed for one year. If we have luck he will fix the bugs and makes some improvements in the next months (not weeks). But I 'm sure will not implement more than 10% of wishes requested or "Essential" features. One year is not enough for that wishes list.

To sell this game they don't need us anymore. Like I said in other thread: more people, more troubles with slow server. I hope I'm wrong.

(quite frankly, I've had enough of trying to have a civilised discussion with you two, you're clearly both immature little babies, hell bent on throwing teddy, your dummies, blankets, everything else out your cots, and then screaming and crying as loud as you can till mommy comes to comfort you again - seriously grow up the both of you)

Obviously they made money and career their priority. They couldn't have said "hey we're gonna leave you in the mud for a couple of month while we make cash" cause it's not acceptable, so they didn't say anything except "it's on the list".
I'm curious to see how it will sell this Christmas and to see what difference the extra programmer is going to make.

Looks like someone ran out of arguments (started a few posts ago actually).

Great then, bye !

N.B. Scorpion0x17 is ignored (don't see his messages) because he doesn't know what he's talking about yet he replies all new threads but solely to increase his post count and argue. (follow the links to understand)

I don't think Mode7 has any obligation to promote the works of other individuals regardless of whether those works are inspired by or intended to help players of their game.
They hand no hand in the creation of the guide, no say on the contents of the guide. I'm sure it's a great document, but it's irrational to expect Mode7 to be assisting you in marketing it.

People make fan made guides for games all the time, there are entire websites devoted to little else but that.
Gamefaq.com alone has probably hundreds of thousands of them. Virtually none of these have gotten any support or notice from the developers of the games.
You may very well have worked hard and invested a great deal of time and money into the guide, but that was your decision independent of Mode7.
Perhaps if it were free they might highlight it, but even then I doubt it. And I certainly don't think it's reasonable for them to be encouraging their customers to spend additional money on the game for add-on products they didn't develop.

They have their own documentation for the game, however lacking one might feel it to be.
Monetizing the guide is your responsibility.

With respect to the future of Frozen Synapse, I'm about as hopeful as you are. Which is to say not at all.
Mode7 seemingly either has no time or no interest at all in supporting the game beyond frequent sales.
It's a great game, and I love it but they've had ample time to show they have any indication their willing to offer and improvements or fixes the community suggests.

For better or worse, their sole concern for the game right now is the iPad port.

I've come to realise it's pointless telling him this, rand, he thinks he's entitled to something and that the devs should be our whipping boys. Not a view I share, and not one you seem to share either. But, icebrain's mind is frozen.

Recent blog entries, and posts on the forums, by the devs, appear to imply otherwise.

Hello - I don't jump into every thread because people have a right to comment without me doing that, but I will make an exception here.

Firstly, this thread is a bit upsetting to read in terms of how people are talking to each other - it looks like we may need to implement some rules about forum behaviour which we have never had to do before. The community should be mature enough to know that just posting "fuck off" etc. to people is not acceptable behaviour - if that kind of thing persists we will be stricter with what is and isn't allowed on the forums.

I wanted to remind people that we are currently working on an updater, then some long-overdue fixes and then some additional content for FS. That, alongside the iPad version, is the current plan for the game.

I have already apologised for us being slow to fix some problems with the game, and for the initial server problems: both were below the standard of service we want to provide.

The Hotline thread has been open for two months and I have read every post in it; we are still checking it very regularly - it will be the first place we read when we're compiling the list of things to do after the updater is launched. Please continue to use it!

I don't mind people complaining about things, by the way - go ahead and complain! Do it in the Hotline thread though, if you want me to read it.

Guys, you mentioned the use of proxies in the thread so you know something about it I suppose and I need some help, the thing is, I can't figure out where it would be better to buy socks proxies . Any reasonable suggestions?
