Running from terminal gives me this:

Code: Select all

Running it directly from Steam is (I assume) the same thing.

I've read some other topics on the matter, I was on 64 bit Ubuntu so I installed some 32 bit compatibility binaries (which fixed the initial error I was getting). I am running on an Nvidia GTX 660M using the latest drivers from a source on the package manager, 340.22 I believe. I am NOT using twinview. I am using optimus, however i've set nvidia-prime to always start on the nvidia card so I see no reason for it to be a gpu switching issue.

Here is my xorg.conf, since that's always brought up in other threads like this:

Code: Select all

Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "layout"
    Screen 0 "nvidia"
    Inactive "intel"

Section "Device"
    Identifier "intel"
    Driver "intel"
    BusID "PCI:0@0:2:0"
    Option "AccelMethod" "SNA"

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "intel"
    Device "intel"

Section "Device"
    Identifier "nvidia"
    Driver "nvidia"
    BusID "PCI:1@0:0:0"
    Option "ConstrainCursor" "off"

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "nvidia"
    Device "nvidia"
    Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration" "on"
    Option "IgnoreDisplayDevices" "CRT"

    SubSection "Display"
        Modes "1366x768"
        Depth 24

Please send help, my friends keep laughing at me for even trying to use Linux :(
