Hi

I thought I should let you know that I installed Linux Ubuntu and have managed to get the game to work on the exact same system. I do not know whether it is a problem with windows. I was trying to run in on win 7 previously.

I don't know if this helps you, but I thought I should let you know.

Hi rmagro,

We're working on this problem as we speak and I hope to have a solution by the end of next week - I'm very sorry you can't play. Getting non-microsoft OpenGL drivers on your system is the key to solving the issue for yourself on windows currently - I don't know if you can find any?

EDIT: Wow, I'm an idiot...just needed to install updated drivers for my graphics card.

The game won't start:

got an ati radeon 4600, with an amd athlon 3800+ dual core processor \
running win xp sp 3
updated my drivers to version 8.850.0.0 dating 19-04-2011

I'd try going to http://www.amd.com, get a fresh set of drivers, and reinstall the whole pack. During the install use the advanced method, and select all the checkboxes.
If the game worked before you updated your drivers, just roll them back to an older version

Also there seems to be some "file not exists: " at the top of the log (although they seem to all be located in the /data/sound/final/ folder). But if you got the game through Steam I'd recommend to "Verify integrity of game cache". :)

I did get the game from steam and just verified the game cache, it's all valid.
tried the new drivers still won't start. (actually tried it twice).

I'm hoping somebody can make some sense of this log for me?

About the files I mentioned, I checked my own system (on which the game works), the same files get noted, so probably nothing to worry about.

Howdy all.

I just registered to share something that may help some of you running XP with older radeon mobility cards. My laptop has a 2600 hd mobility and FS was failing to launch (with mostly similar results in the log file as well). I stumbled here in hopes of a solution. From here I stumbled some more and found this exchange:

In brief it looks like there is a windows registry bug with windows not pointing to the correct dll for ATI opengl rendering with these older cards/drivers. The solution above fixed the problem for me.

And, if for some reason that link fails in the future, here's the registry entry that I altered (atioglx2.dll => atioglxx.dll):

I had the same issue and installed the full catalyst control centre (rather than just the WDM driver) which has resolved my issues :o)

Hello I have an ATI Radeon 3200 and cannot run the game as well, upon using the first .exe it said the glew32.dll is missing
