(This obviously isn't ideal - we're working on a real solution to this)
If you have an XFI sound card and are experiencing blue screen crashes while playing busy levels of FS, please try disabling your XFI or updating the XFI drivers. Post here if this works for you.
Thanks,
Ian

Further to this, please can you try the following:
Rename frozenSynapse/openAl32.dll to oldOpenAL32.dll.
Rename frozenSynapse/wrap_oal.dll to openAL32.dll
Rename frozenSynapse/openAl32.dll to oldOpenAL32.dll.

Re: SOLUTION: creative XFI sound card crash
Hi, I was also having bluescreens caused by ha20x22k.sys which is apparently X-Fi related.
I have a PCI-E X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty. It's running on a Windows 7 64-bit OS.
The X-Fi driver version is: 2.17.8 which is the latest version according to the Creative AutoUpdate
I tried the fix above for renaming the .dlls and it still crashed.
I am happy to be contacted if I can help further with getting this issue resolved or if you need more information.

Hi DeadlyAvenger, I'm sorry you're having problems.
Have you tried the patch released yesterday in the General forums?

Re: SOLUTION: creative XFI sound card crash
Hi,
I just installed the patch and it no longer bluescreens at the point where it used to.
Will report back if I have any further issues with this bug.
