My unit does not open fire when he really should

Postby TehShrike » Thu Aug 11, 2011 2:53 pm

Here I am, simulating turn 5.

As you can see my MG2 has turned to fire on my opponent's MG3.

When I simulate, I see MG3 opening fire, and eventually killing my MG2. My MG2 never begins firing - just keeps looking at MG3.

My unit has no ignore or focus orders. I can not think of a reason why he would not fire back.

If it's not the rare visibility bug, it's because of previous orders - but we can't see them in this screenshot.

Any word Omroth? I'm holding off on moving in this game because something seems wrong...

I just got that too, with a Grenade Launcher in one of my games. Any move order I give it works fine, but any attempt to have him fire a grenade results in the unit being stuck there for the rest of the turn, doing nothing. The game in question is 276086 (UK1).

Diomyr, if you don't finish your game we can't see it.
The penalty time of duck order for GL is 1 sec.
In the last second, if you gave him 5 orders duck/stand, he will not fire in the next turn because all penalty times are totaled and must be consumed. The same thing happened to me with GL.

TehShrike, your case is strange. Never happened to me. I see 4 small squares under red MG #3. Did you use something like "ignore focus on zone" in the previous turns ?
Does your MG fire if you move him a little ?
