Invalid Plan can't be ignored

Postby rodeoclown » Thu Dec 08, 2011 4:00 am

I have a plan that involves blowing a hole in a wall and running through, but I keep getting the "your unit gets stuck on a wall" message.
If I hit OK, I should be able to submit my plan as is.
As it stands, I need to come up with another way of surprising my opponent :S

Are you using shift-double-click to set the 'running through the wall' waypoint?

Using Shift-click (no double clicking).
It works as long as I run straight through the wall in question - but I had some VERY precise rocketwork that clears out the wall and leaves my guy intact, and I had him turning while he ran through.

Ah, sorry, is it shift-single-click? It's been a while since I've done it, so I wasn't sure, and guessed.

Right. If by "turning while he ran through" that meant you had a waypoint in/on the wall, then that was probably the source of the problem.

Yeah, waypoint was inside the wall (at the start, not at the end of the turn).

Right, move it just to one side of the wall, or the other, then I reckon.

I ended up just running straight through, but my guy ended up getting killed anyway.

I won the game though :)
